About the Artist
Christopher is a violinist, composer and sound designer based in Wollongong with a keen focus on film and video games. Classically trained as a grade 5 violinist, he has experience performing with bands and the Wollongong Conservatorium’s orchestras. Christopher engages with genres such as rock, orchestral, jazz and ambience music.

Gaia
My work Gaia is a 5-piece EP featuring sound design and musical compositions based on water, fire, earth and air with the intention to place the audience in a soundscape of sounds and music. Each element has their own track individually, to focus on their uniqueness including the sounds of said element and one instrument with a musical role assigned to them. Then the final track, Gaia, is a harmonious combination extending on the elements’ sounds and music all in one and allows the audience to enter this space of witnessing these elemental worlds come together and seeing the bigger picture that makes up our planet. Each assigned instrument and sound is played musically, with water playing with guitar as the main melody, fire with violin as counter melody, earth with percussion keeping rhythm and air accompanied with woodwind as a drone and bass role.
