About the Artist
Luka is a multi-instrumentalist with the ambition of using and creating both music and musical environments. Working with live instruments and spatial audio allows him to represent the world around himself with reference to his own interpretation and experiences. He strives to place his own mind as well as the audiences into the worlds he creates with his music.

Synchresis
My creative project, Synchresis is a representation of the link between music and memories and how we perceive, alter and remember certain events when there are certain sounds around us. This will be shown through spatial audio, visuals and lighting.
Using my own experiences in moving countries, cities and houses many times, I have created a piece that captures my perceptions and follows the flow of each location and major change in my life.
I have used spoken word from my grandmothers from both sides of my family (Ireland and Serbia), as they represent both the physical and metaphorical ‘places’ I can return to that don’t change.
