About the Artist
Milly Garrett is a guitarist and vocalist from Jervis Bay, Australia. After spending the last six years creating her own songs from her bedroom, she’s now ready to share her work with the world. Using music as a means of emotional expression, she often pairs her authentic lyrics with her acoustic guitar. Recently, Milly has begun collaborating with fellow musicians to explore indie-band compositions. She hopes her audience will resonate with her music while gaining a deeper insight into her journey and experiences.

My Voice
I’ve decided to create a 3-track Segue EP, called “My Voice” with the help from Steph Gulevski (Bass), Hayden Koek (Drums), Felicity Dowd (Electric Guitar) and Olivia Jones (Backing Vocals). A Segue EP allows me to explore the connections between songs — lyrically, melodically and physically, transitioning from one track to the next.
Throughout my lyrics I delve into themes of communication and the challenges that come with, expressing love, navigating my Irlens Syndrome (a visual processing disorder), and the importance of speaking up and knowing my worth. I recorded all the songs live, with the entire band performing together in the studio to capture that authentic performance feel.
